Similar to the Naxca Intaglios of Peru, the Blythe Intaglios are the most well known geoglyphs in North America. There are other geoglyphs sites in nearby Arizona, Baja, Mexico, and Sonora, Mexico.
I relate geoglyphs to my Flat Earth Theory because the act of making geoglyphs in ancient religion relates directly to the code for the firmament in our contemporary Christian view. My theory is that flat earth, first of all, is a coded language that describes how Christians tell about heaven, or the firmament, as a Christian practice. I extend the cdw, generally, to ancient practices of communicating the meaning of religion for the sake of an existing society. Making geoglyphs is exactly that ancient practice of communicating the meaning of the firmament.
The figures of the Intaglios at Blythe are this kind of communication. The society conveys to the heavenly being requests for divine guidance. Blythe Intaglios are unique in that they convey human figures. This type of geoglyph is problematic because verification is problematic for human figures. Upon observation, I believe the authenticity of the human figures geoglyph I saw at Blythe.
In my view, the importance of the human figures geoglyph is that it conveys, in addition, to an effort to communicate with the divine, or to describe the firmament, it is an effort to tell God about the human actor. The human figures represents societies ability to reach the firmament. It is not only a person, it is a particular office.
Beyond this the figure I observed at Blythe carries the unique message about the kind of power that this figure represents.
Uniquely, feet pointing outward,band strands of hair convey movement. Geoglyphs that convey movement represent an important power. The power is the magic of an animal. Ancient religion practices acting as the power of a particular animal. Geoglyphs picture, among other pictures, animals from which this power is derived. In the case of this geoglyph the power described is feline. It is very important to note the feline magic expressed as a priestly ability is a way to communicate chastity. It is clear to me the particular geoglyph I saw at Blythe is an effort to communicate to the firmament a society that believed in chastity.
